After being a professional in architecture, he decides to live out of his passion, instrument making, and carries on with perfecting his art with masters of instrument-makers. He has now decided to set up in Le Havre in his native country where he makes instruments of the string quartet inspired by great italian masters from the classical period.

Eric Gervais is member of ALADFI (association of stringed instrument makers and bow makers for the development of instrumental facture) and he regularily takes part in festivals, music academys, and international " salon " such as Musicora in Paris. He is diplomed from Mirecourt school, he makes stringed instruments of a high european quality adapted to the playing and the requirement of every musician.
